The service
Comma is double-entry accounting software, provided as-is and free while it's in beta. We may change or discontinue features as the product develops; we'll tell existing users first about anything that affects pricing. Comma is a software tool — it does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice, and generated documents (including tax preparation packages) should be reviewed by a qualified professional before use.
Your account
Keep your credentials confidential — enabling two-factor authentication (Settings → Security) is strongly recommended and is required before connecting a bank account. You're responsible for activity under your account, for the accuracy of the data you enter, and for having the right to store it in Comma (including your customers' and vendors' details). Company admins control membership and roles.
Bank connections
If you connect a bank account (a forthcoming feature powered by Plaid Inc.), you authorize Comma to retrieve account and transaction data from your financial institution on your behalf. You can disconnect at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how bank data is handled and deleted.
Your data
Your books are yours. You can export your ledger, invoices, and tax filings at any time, and delete a company or your account in-app — deletion is immediate and irreversible, per the Privacy Policy.
AI connectors
Connecting a third-party AI assistant is your choice, scoped to your account role, and revocable at any time from Settings → Connections. You're responsible for what you authorize a connected assistant to do on your behalf.
Acceptable use & liability
No unauthorized access attempts, no interference with other tenants, no unlawful content. The service is provided without warranties of any kind; to the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months before a claim. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
